IFRS and Thai GAAP (Thai Accounting Standards), What are the differences?
Circumstances where current differences arise between IFRS and TAS include: 1) areas where IFRS allows choices but TAS does not 2) areas where IFRS does not allow choices but TAS does, and 3) areas where IFRS has detailed guidance but TAS currently does not have an equivalent enacted standard. The current key differences will be removed when the equivalent TAS based on IFRS/IAS, which are currently in the process of being reviewed by the Federation of Accounting Professions, become effective.
